I Have A Dream mural story
I painted this after George Floyd to offer hope and power to people. The dream is not over. We must continue the dream. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X took different philosophical and political standpoints in the way many may be split today, but they shared a dream, and stood for a common cause, today we must find what that balance really means when we fight for the state of humanity, revisit their teachings, and each one of us participate to make the dream a reality.
I love to depict the uniqueness of portraiture, what it means to be human, to illustrate our deep interconnection with the Universe and the symbolism of all that surround us. I also like things with humour that can bring a smile to someone’s face and tend to earmark my pieces with hat tips and individual references. I like to play with vibrant colour and an element of surrealism while maintaining the detail of realism.
